From the Straits of Mackinac to Copper Harbor and on through the north woods of Wisconsin, Michigan's Upper Peninsula is a four-season place of beauty that attracts thousands of visitors every year. For over seventy years, Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp has been a special, beautiful place in the Western portion of the U.P. where God's rich and abundant grace is not simply taught, but experienced. Owned and operated by Evangelical Lutheran Church in America Congregations in the Northern Great Lakes Synod, FLLC's ministry is available year around to people of all ages wishing to know and share God's grace. Fortune Lake is licensed by Michigan's Family Independence Agency and is accredited by the American Camp Association. Developed exclusively for the camp profession, this nationally-recognized program focuses on program quality, health and safety issues and requires us to review every facet of our operation. Fortune Lake Lutheran Camp has voluntarily submitted to this independent appraisal done by camp experts and has earned this mark of distinction. This sign is solid proof of our professional integrity and commitment to risk management. To earn it we have adopted a disciplined management of critical thinking.

We are part of the ELCA Outdoor Ministries network that encourages spiritual growth by providing encounter with scripture, the experience and care of the environment, witness of staff, and opportunities for worship, recreation, and development of relationships. Fortune Lake has a long history of providing fun, creative, inspirational, and safe camp programs. We also provide quality facilities in which you can conduct your own Retreats.

Volunteers

Very Special Thanks to our Summer Volunteers we had over 67 people volunteer their time at camp as guest pastors, leaders, camp grandparents and alumni assistance. WOW! We really appreciate the time that you are able to donate to kids and we know that they will have many fond memories because of you.
